LeAnn Scrimmager, aka Lee, is an executive producer, development executive, and screenwriter based in New York City. She graduated from Temple University with a degree in media business and entrepreneurship. She has worked for notable companies over the years, including Tony Bennett’s management company, The International Documentary Association, and Smriti Mundhra’s production company, Meralta Films. 

Currently, she serves as the manager of development and original production for WEtv/ALLBLK, where she develops IP with creative partners and executive produces television shows and feature films. She has worked on shows such as “Wiggin Out with Tokyo Stylez,” which was nominated for Outstanding Reality Program at the 36th GLAAD Media Awards, and Deb’s House, which won a Telly Award in the Television Game Show & Competition category. She is also currently developing a true-crime docuseries with AMC Studios. 

She recently wrapped up executive producing “Funny Thing About Love”, a rom-com for ALLBLK. In 2025, her debut narrative short film, “BellaDonna,” was nominated for Best Experimental Film at the North Film Festival. She is currently is development on her feature, “Love Child,” which has been accepted into the Plenty of Pie Incubator, run by Sasheen Artis. She is preparing to direct her black comedy short film, “Object of My Desire,” in 2026. 

LeAnn's creative vision is driven by a desire to craft authentic stories centered on female characters who seek to find themselves, even if it means destroying everything around them. Her characters are bold, unhinged, and seek to become through the act of undoing.
